  • 1 cup pizza dough Store-bought pizza dough can be used for convenience.
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices Try turkey pepperoni for a lower-fat option.
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to experiment with different cheeses like cheddar or provolone.
  • 1/4 cup pizza sauce Use more for dipping if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • 1 large egg Beaten, for egg wash.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface.
  • Cut the dough into rectangles.
  • Place a few slices of pepperoni and some mozzarella cheese in the center of each rectangle.
  • Add a teaspoon of pizza sauce and sprinkle with Italian seasoning.
  • Fold the dough over and seal the edges.
  • Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping. For storage, let cool and store in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the fridge, or freeze tightly wrapped for longer storage. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
