Equipment

  • Large skillet
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken breasts boneless and skinless or bone-in
  • 10 oz can cream of chicken soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk or Greek yogurt for a creamy touch
  • Minced garlic to taste
  • Diced onion to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce to taste
  • Paprika to taste
  • Garlic powder to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

Prepare the Chicken:

  • Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Make the Gravy:

  • In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Sauté minced garlic and diced onions until fragrant.
  • Whisk in the flour to create a roux. Slowly pour in the milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Simmer until the gravy thickens (5-7 minutes).

Combine and Finish:

  • Stir in Worcestershire sauce and yogurt (if using) for a creamy texture. Return the chicken to the skillet, ensuring it's fully coated in gravy.
  • Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
