Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna, drained
  • 2-3 tbsp gochujang (Korean chili paste) For spiciness, adjust to taste.
  • 1-2 tbsp mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a healthier option.
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar or honey Adjust to taste.
  • 1 green onion, finely sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar (optional)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish Add just before serving.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Always adjust seasoning.

Preparation

  • Drain the tuna and place it in a bowl.
  • In a small bowl, whisk gochujang, mayonnaise, sesame oil, soy sauce, and sugar (add garlic if using) until smooth.
  • Stir the sauce into the tuna until well coated.
  • Mix in the green onion and sesame seeds; season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Chill for 15-30 minutes to let flavors meld.

Serving Suggestions

  • Serve over warm steamed rice, in lettuce wraps, or as a filling for sushi rolls.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. For longer storage, consider freezing it.
