Instructions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius) and line a rimmed baking sheet with a wire rack or parchment paper.
Wash the asparagus spears and pat them thoroughly dry with a paper towel.
Group the asparagus into bundles of 3 to 4 spears depending on thickness.
Wrap one strip of bacon tightly around each bundle in a spiral pattern, ensuring the bacon ends are tucked under or placed on the bottom.
Arrange the bundles on the baking sheet in a single layer.
Lightly drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
Roast for 15 to 20 minutes until the bacon is browned and crisp and the asparagus is tender.
For additional crispness, broil on high for 1 to 2 minutes before serving.
