Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus, woody ends trimmed
  • 10 slices thin -cut bacon
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (204 degrees Celsius) and line a rimmed baking sheet with a wire rack or parchment paper.
  • Wash the asparagus spears and pat them thoroughly dry with a paper towel.
  • Group the asparagus into bundles of 3 to 4 spears depending on thickness.
  • Wrap one strip of bacon tightly around each bundle in a spiral pattern, ensuring the bacon ends are tucked under or placed on the bottom.
  • Arrange the bundles on the baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Lightly drizzle with olive oil and season with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • Roast for 15 to 20 minutes until the bacon is browned and crisp and the asparagus is tender.
  • For additional crispness, broil on high for 1 to 2 minutes before serving.
