Tea Base:
- 6 black tea bags English Breakfast recommended
- 6 cups hot water
- 2 tbsp honey optional, to taste
- Ice plenty
Mango Mix:
- 2 ripe mangoes fresh preferred
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 lime juiced
Steep the tea bags in 6 cups of hot water for 5–6 minutes. Remove bags and allow tea to cool slightly.
Peel and chop the mangoes. Add to a blender with sugar, 1/2 cup water, and lime juice. Blend until smooth.
Combine cooled tea with mango puree in a pitcher. Mix well and taste. Add honey if needed.
Pour over a glass full of ice and serve immediately.
Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 4 days.
For stronger flavor, brew tea double strength or freeze some into ice cubes.
Can be customized with other fruits like pineapple, mint, or ginger.
Great for parties—make a large batch in advance and chill.
Frozen mango works if fresh isn’t available—just thaw and drain first.
