Mediterranean Gyro Bowls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground lamb or beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp sal t
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup cucumber , diced
  • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted
  • 1/2 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup Tzatziki sauce

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles with a spatula.
  • Stir in the oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper, then cook for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Remove the skillet from heat and drain any excess fat.
  • Prepare four serving bowls and divide the cooked rice equally among them.
  • Top the rice with the seasoned meat mixture.
  • Arrange the tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and olives in sections over the meat and rice.
  • Finish each bowl with crumbled feta cheese and a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.
