Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/3 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/4 cup pepperoncini juice

Instructions
 

  • Lightly grease the interior of your slow cooker.
  • Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  • Sprinkle ranch and au jus seasoning packets evenly over chicken.
  • Add the butter on top of the chicken.
  • Pour pepperoncini peppers and juice around the chicken.
  • Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  • Once the chicken is tender, shred it in the slow cooker using two forks.
  • Let the chicken rest for 10 minutes in the sauce before serving.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use chicken thighs instead of breasts.
This recipe can also be made in an Instant Pot (cook for 10 minutes on high pressure) or in the oven (bake at 350°F for 40 minutes).
Pair with creamy mashed potatoes, rice, or a Southern-style side like cornbread.
