- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz cranberry juice
- 0.5 oz triple sec
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- Fresh rosemary sprig for garnish
- Lime wheel for garnish
- Coarse salt optional, for rim
Rim the glass with coarse salt (optional).
Add tequila, lime juice, cranberry juice, triple sec, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.
Garnish with a rosemary sprig (slap it first to release aroma) and a lime wheel.
For a batch version (8 servings): combine 16 oz tequila, 8 oz lime juice, 8 oz cranberry juice, 4 oz triple sec, and 4 oz simple syrup. Store in the fridge and pour over ice when serving.
Variations:
Spicy: Add jalapeño slices to shaker.
Pomegranate: Substitute cranberry juice with pomegranate juice.
Virgin: Use sparkling water or ginger ale instead of tequila.
Use fresh lime juice only – it makes a huge difference.
