Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb 450g ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
  • 8 oz 225g noodles (egg noodles or rice noodles)
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup green onions chopped
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp cornstarch optional, for thickening
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for spice
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • Cook the noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil.
  • Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch (if using). Pour into the skillet.
  • Stir well and let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Add cooked noodles to the beef mixture. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Remove from heat and mix in sesame oil and chopped green onions.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with extra green onions and red pepper flakes if desired.

Notes

For a spicier dish, add sriracha or extra red pepper flakes.
Substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner alternative.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
