  • 1 cup oats Use quick oats for a smoother texture.
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter Can be swapped for almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup Adjust according to sweetness preference.
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips Optional, can replace with dried fruits.
  • 1/4 cup protein powder Optional, can be omitted.
  • 1/4 cup nuts or seeds Optional; substitute for a nut-free version.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine oats, peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and protein powder (if using). Mix until well combined.
  • Stir in dark chocolate chips and nuts or seeds, if desired.
  • Press the mixture firmly into an 8x8 inch pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes until firm.
  • Cut into bars and enjoy as a healthy snack!

Notes

To keep leftovers fresh, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about a week. They can be frozen for up to three months. Use a sharp knife for cutting for cleaner edges.
