  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour For a chewier texture, consider replacing half the flour with oats.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Nuts

  • 1 cup chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans) Feel free to adjust the type or amount of nuts based on your preference.

Preparation & Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x9 inch baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the mashed bananas and melted butter.
  • Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until well combined.
  • Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  • Fold in the chopped nuts.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Allow to cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

These blondies are great to enjoy on their own, but you can add vanilla ice cream on top or drizzle with chocolate or caramel for extra sweetness. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
