Wash the okra pods thoroughly.
Slice the okra into thin pieces or pierce them with a knife.
Place the sliced okra in a glass jar or cup filled with water.
Cover and refrigerate for 8-24 hours.
Strain the okra water in the morning.
Discard the soaked okra pods and drink the infused water.
For best results, drink okra water first thing in the morning.
You can add a few slices of orange or lemon for extra flavor.
Store refrigerated for up to 3-4 days.
