Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs room temperature
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2-3 teaspoons orange zest
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • In a large bowl, mix melted butter, oil, sugar, eggs, milk, orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract until combined.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
  • Grease and flour your chosen pan(s). Pour the batter in and smooth the top.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes (round pans) or 60-70 minutes (loaf pan) until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
