- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 eggs room temperature
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup fresh orange juice
- 2-3 teaspoons orange zest
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
In a large bowl, mix melted butter, oil, sugar, eggs, milk, orange juice, zest, and vanilla extract until combined.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Grease and flour your chosen pan(s). Pour the batter in and smooth the top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes (round pans) or 60-70 minutes (loaf pan) until a toothpick comes out clean.
Let the cake cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
