Ingredients
  

For the Beef:

  • 500 g flank steak or sirloin thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

For the Sauce:

  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger grated
  • ½ tsp rice vinegar

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions
 

  • Prepare the Beef: Slice the beef thinly against the grain and mix with soy sauce, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Let it marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  • Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar. Set aside.
  • Cook the Beef: Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add oil and stir-fry the beef for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove from pan.
  • Cook the Broccoli: In the same pan, add broccoli and water. Stir-fry for 2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender.
  • Combine and Finish: Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. Stir well and cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Serve Hot: Enjoy with steamed rice or noodles.

Notes

For a gluten-free option, use tamari or coconut aminos instead of soy sauce.
Marinate the beef for extra tenderness.
Blanching the broccoli before stir-frying keeps it bright green and crisp.
