Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or white chocolate as desired.
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 ounces) Dairy-free alternatives can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ - ½ teaspoon peppermint extract Adjust according to taste.

Toppings

  • 2-4 tablespoons red and white sprinkles or crushed peppermint candies or mini candy canes Crushed peppermint candies are for immediate eating only.

Preparation

  • Line two small containers with parchment paper, leaving about 3 inches of overhang on all sides.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate and sweetened condensed milk at 50% power for 1 minute. Stir and continue heating in 30-second intervals until melted and smooth.
  • Stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  • Pour half of the mixture into each prepared container. Smooth into an even layer with a rubber spatula.
  • When the fudge is slightly warm, sprinkle red and white decorations on top if desired.

Chilling

  • Refrigerate uncovered until completely chilled, about 30 minutes.
  • Once chilled, place the lids on each container and store at room temperature for up to 10 days.

Notes

For best results, melt the chocolate slowly and ensure the mixture is smooth before pouring. You may add nuts or other candies for variety. Store in an airtight container.
