  • 226 grams unsalted butter softened
  • 266 grams brown sugar
  • 50 grams granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 340 grams semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Optional: chopped nuts or candy pieces

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt.
  • In a separate bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and any optional add-ins like nuts or candy.
  • Grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet and press the dough evenly into the skillet.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown, and the center is slightly underbaked.
  • Let it cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with ice cream or toppings of choice.
