Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz lean ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup marinara sauce (no sugar added)
  • 1/2 cup shredded low-moisture part-skim mozzarella cheese
  • 10 slices turkey pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 2 tablespoons diced red onion
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions
 

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the ground turkey to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles, approximately 8-10 minutes.
  • Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
  • Stir in the diced bell peppers and red onions, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
  • Add the marinara sauce, oregano, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes, stirring to combine and heating through for 2 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to a microwave-safe or oven-safe bowl.
  • Layer the shredded mozzarella cheese and pepperoni slices on top of the meat mixture.
  • Place under a broiler for 2-3 minutes or microwave for 45-60 seconds until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let stand for 2 minutes before serving.
