Mornings can be busy, but you don't have to skip a tasty breakfast. Puff pastry is great for making quick, delicious breakfasts that can be prepared ahead and reheated for a great start.

  • Baking sheet
  • Muffin tin (for tarts)
  • Rolling pin (optional)

Ingredients
  

  • 2 sheets Puff Pastry
  • 16 oz Sausage Roll Package
  • 3 Eggs 1 egg divided into white and yolk
  • 3 slices American Cheese 6 torn pieces
  • Baking Time 20 minutes at 400°F
  • 12 rectangles Cut from Puff Pastry 6 from each sheet

Instructions
 

Prepare the Puff Pastry:

  • Thaw puff pastry sheets at room temperature for 40 minutes.

Preheat the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Assemble the Filling:

  • In a bowl, combine sausage, eggs (scrambled), and American cheese pieces.

Cut the Pastry:

  • Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 12 rectangles (6 from each sheet).

Fill the Pastry:

  • Place a spoonful of the filling on each rectangle, fold, and seal the edges.

Bake:

  • Place on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.

Serve:

  • Enjoy warm or let cool and store in the freezer for later reheating.
