  • 1 box Saltine crackers Use regular Saltine crackers.
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter Melted.
  • 1 cup Brown sugar Packed.
  • 2 cups Chocolate chips Use semi-sweet or milk chocolate.
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt For sprinkling on top.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the Saltine crackers in a single layer.
  • In a saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar together over medium heat, stirring until combined.
  • Pour the mixture over the crackers, spreading it evenly.

Baking

  • Bake for 5-6 minutes, until bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over the top. Let sit for a few minutes to melt, then spread the chocolate evenly.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. Can freeze for up to three months. Keep away from humidity for best texture.
