- 8 oz elbow macaroni pasta
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1 lb scallops
- 1 lb shrimp
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cups white cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- Spices paprika, cayenne pepper to taste
- 1 1/2 lbs lobster tails optional
- 16 oz Colby Jack cheese optional
- 8 oz extra sharp cheddar cheese optional
- 8 oz Monterey Jack cheese optional
- 8 oz Gruyere cheese optional
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the scallops and shrimp, cooking for about 3-4 minutes until they are opaque. Remove from heat.
In a large pot, melt 6 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and whisk for about 1-2 minutes until golden.
Gradually add the milk and heavy cream, whisking constantly until the mixture is smooth and thickened.
Stir in the white cheddar, mozzarella, and optional cheeses until melted and creamy.
Mix in the cooked pasta and seafood, ensuring everything is well coated.
Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and sprinkle with additional cheese if desired.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
Let it cool slightly before serving.
