- 340 g raw shrimp cleaned and deveined
- 200 g linguine pasta
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 4 garlic cloves minced
- 125 ml chicken broth
- Juice and zest of 1 lemon
- ¼ cup reserved pasta water
- ½ cup half-and-half
- 1 tsp chili flakes
- 5 g fresh parsley chopped
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare Pasta: Cook linguine pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve ¼ cup pasta water before draining.
Sauté Garlic: Melt butter in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
Cook Shrimp: Add cleaned shrimp to the pan in a single layer. Cook for 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove shrimp and set aside.
Make the Sauce: Deglaze the pan with chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Stir in lemon juice, zest, and reserved pasta water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Combine Ingredients: Return shrimp to the pan. Add half-and-half, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat and heat for 2 minutes.
Finish the Dish: Stir in parsley and Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately over cooked linguine, garnished with extra parsley and Parmesan if desired.
