Slow Cooker Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 0.5 pound ground pork
  • 0.5 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 0.25 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg , lightly beaten
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 0.5 teaspoon sal t
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, Parmesan cheese, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  • Mix by hand until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.
  • Shape the mixture into meatballs approximately 1.5 inches in diameter.
  • Place the meatballs in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Pour the marinara sauce evenly over the meatballs.
  • Cover and cook on High for 3 to 4 hours (or Low for 6 to 8 hours) until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Serve warm over pasta or as an appetizer.
