Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 10 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup sourdough starter 100% hydration

Instructions
 

Prepare the Sourdough Starter:

  • Ensure your sourdough starter is active and ready for use.

Mix Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, melt the butter and mix with chocolate chips until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

Add Sugars and Eggs:

  • Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  • Incorporate Sourdough Starter and Dry Ingredients: Fold in the sourdough starter, cocoa powder, and flour until just combined. Do not overmix.

Fermentation (Optional):

  • For enhanced flavor, refrigerate the batter for 10-24 hours.

Bake:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (176°C), grease the 9x9 pan, and pour in the batter. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Cool and Serve:

  • Let brownies cool completely before slicing.
