Ingredients
  

For the tea

  • 4 cups water Fresh water for boiling
  • 4 bags black tea Can substitute with green tea for a lighter flavor
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust to taste; can be replaced with a sweetener of choice

For serving

  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced Use fresh peaches for best flavor, can substitute with frozen or canned
  • Ice For serving over, avoid adding to the entire pitcher
  • Fresh mint for garnish Optional, adds a lovely touch

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Boil the water in a pot.
  • Remove from heat and add the tea bags, allowing them to steep for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the sugar until dissolved.
  • Let the tea cool to room temperature.

Mixing

  • In a pitcher, combine the cooled tea and sliced peaches.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Serving

  • Serve over ice and garnish with fresh mint if desired.

Notes

This tea tastes best when chilled. To store leftovers, keep in a sealed pitcher in the fridge for up to 3 days. For a longer storage option, freeze in ice cube trays without peaches.
