  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Cooking the Shrimp

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, paprika, and cayenne pepper, cooking for another minute.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and Worcestershire sauce, stirring to combine.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 5-7 minutes to meld the flavors.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

This dish can be served with rice, grits, or crusty bread to soak up the sauce. It can also be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Adjust the spice level by reducing the cayenne if desired.
