  • 8 oz halloumi cheese, sliced ½-inch thick Fried until golden and crispy
  • 2-4 pieces tortilla wraps (flour, flatbread, or gluten-free) Choose your preferred type of wrap
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced Adds sweetness and crunch
  • 1 cucumber, julienned For refreshing taste
  • ½ red onion, thinly sliced For flavor
  • 1-2 lettuce leaves Use fresh for best results
  • 3 tbsp sweet chili sauce To add a sweet and spicy kick
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For frying the halloumi

Optional Toppings

  • avocado For added creaminess
  • fresh herbs (cilantro, parsley) For garnish and flavor
  • pickled vegetables For a tangy addition

Preparation

  • Slice the halloumi evenly. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  • Fry the halloumi for 2–3 minutes per side until it is golden and crispy. Remove it from the skillet and set aside.
  • Slice the bell pepper and cucumber, thinly slice the red onion, and tear the lettuce leaves.

Assembling the Wraps

  • Spread sweet chili sauce on each wrap. Start with a layer of halloumi.
  • Add the sliced vegetables and any optional toppings you like.
  • Fold the bottom edge over the filling, then roll or fold the sides to create a burrito-style wrap.
  • Optional: For extra warmth and crispy edges, you can lightly toast the wraps in the skillet or oven.

Notes

Eat the wraps fresh for the best taste. Store any leftovers in the fridge and consume within 2 days.
