Protein and Seasoning:
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 cup water
Base Options:
- 3 cups cooked white rice brown rice, or cauliflower rice
Toppings:
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 avocado sliced
- 1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
- 2 tbsp sliced jalapeños
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese
- 4 lime wedges
Prepare the Protein:
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking for 2 minutes.
Stir in chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Mix cornstarch with water, then add to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Add Toppings:
Layer shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, avocado slices, red onion, cilantro, and jalapeños.
Sprinkle shredded cheese and garnish with lime wedges.
