  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Main Ingredients

Instructions

Preparation

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, cornstarch, sesame oil, and black pepper to create the teriyaki marinade.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking

  • Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  • Cook for 12-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Serving

  • Serve over cooked rice or stir-fried veggies.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds or green onions on top for an extra touch.

Notes

Use chicken breasts for a leaner option. Marinate overnight for deeper flavor. Ensure the chicken's internal temperature is checked for safety. Adjust sweetness of the marinade by modifying honey amount. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer; cook in batches if needed.
