Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain yogurt You can use Greek yogurt for a thicker texture.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened Make sure your butter is at room temperature for easy mixing.
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Dry Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips You can swap chocolate chips for raisins or nuts.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together the yogurt, brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until smooth.
  • Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips.

Baking

  • Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
  • Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days, or freeze for up to 3 months with parchment paper between layers. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes.
